William, second son of James of Louth, though born in Thimbleby, spent most of his adult life in Woodhall to where the family had moved .

William married Sarah Davey on the 19th May 1835 in St Margaret's, Woodhall.  In October of the same year (horror of horrors) they christened their first child:

•  Thomas            1837
•  Rebecca            1842  
•  Edward            1844         
•  Martha             1845   
•  Albert               1848

These last three were born in Saltfleetby All Saints   (All Saints being but one Saltfleetby parish, another being St John's)
