Albert 1881 and Albert 1895
Albert the first must have died in early childhood. After the initial reference to his birth, there is no further mention of him. We do know, however, that another Albert was born to Edward and Georgina - in 1895 and curiously, again in Somersby even though the family had moved to Baumber and Holton cum Beckering between the births of the two Alberts.. The 1891 census shows them at No. 3 Holton (cum Beckering) but no mention of Albert No.1, who would have been aged ten at that time.

St Margaret's Somersby
'Albert the second', on the other hand, was to spend most of his life in the pretty village of Somersby - famous as the birthplace of Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Poet Laureate. Lord Alfred's father, the Reverend George Clayton Tennyson was rector of Somersby & Bag Enderby from 1808 until 1831.
Albert married Mary Elizabeth Ripley (born 1893) and they had only one child:
Geoffrey Albert, born in Lincoln in 1932.
Albert, nicknamed "Cam" and a loyal farm-worker for the Elliot family until his retirement in 1960, remained in the village until his death on 13th May 1974, mere weeks after the death of his dear wife on 27 January. Both are interred in the churchyard there.
