Alfred Edward, born c.1880 married Eliza Turner and had three children:
Alfred lived at the Maltkiln house being employed at the maltings and joined Louth Fire Brigade in 1910 beginning a long connection between the Espins and the Louth Fire Service.
Alfred retired from the service in 1941.
