Geoffrey Albert 1932
Geoffrey was the only son of Albert and Mary, though most of life was spent with more distant family members and away from the Somersby home.
Most of his childhood was spent attending special schools, first at Tetford and later at Digby where he lived with Thomas and Agnes Ripley. Agnes was the cousin of Geoffrey's mother.
On leaving school Geoffrey worked at a gravel pit outside of Woodhall for eleven years then he went to work on a farm. The last twenty or so years of his working life until his retirement were at the Golf Hotel in Woodhall Spa. Geoffrey and Thomas Ripley lived together after the death of Tom's wife, eventually at Heatherlea House Nursing Home where Tom died in October 2000.
